A court of Appeal in the capital territory of Senegal, Dakar has sustained the life imprisonment of former chad president, Hissene Habre on war crimes charges. The court also stated that a trust fund be set up to manage reparations awarded to the over 4 000 victims. Habre has been ordered to pay millions of dollars in compensation. The ongoing trial of the former chad president began in late July 2015,this is noted in the history of Africa as the first of it’s kind in which courts from one country prosecuted the former ruler of another for human rights crimes. The Extraordinary African Chambers was created by the African Union and Senegal to try Habre for crimes committed during his presidency from 1982-1990.

Bollywood producer and veteran actor, Vinod Khana who stormed the industry with his romantic roles back then in the 70’s,has died at age 70. The Bollywood actor who suffered from bladder carcinoma died at Mumbai,s HN Reliance Hospital in India. Doctors from the hospital said he breathed his last at 11:20 am on Thursday. He is survived by his wife and four sons.

The Zambian President Edgar Lungu said in a statement on Friday that he would be forced to declare a state of emergency if people do not stop setting ablaze public properties in the wake of the arrest of the country’s opposition leader. A police department from Zimbabwe has confirmed a case of a woman who assisted her husband to abuse (rape)a 14 year girl by holding her hands. According to Chronicle newspaper, the accused by name Philemon Moyo Tauze,30 and his partner in crime(wife) Netsai Sibanda,25 appeared at a court in Gweru facing charges of Raping/kidnapping a minor. The couple pleaded not guilty were remanded till further notice. Further investigations made by chronicle newspaper gathered that, Sibanda approached the little girl and asked her to accompany her to their house in other to give her some gifts she bought for her.the story changed when Sibanda told her to sleep over that it was late and her husband wasn’t home.When it was 8:00pm there was a knock on the door and it happened to be the husband.

Ijeoma was said to have delivered a dog like creature after 3 years of pregnancy. According to report, Ijeoma who have been married for good seven years without issue was induced by some health workers which visited her area to render service to Eneka inhabitants. Ijeoma said: “I am still in pain. I have been pregnant for about three years now. When I came to give birth, I gave birth to a strange thing. It is evacuation. Ojebo Baba-Ochankpa,who serves in the Nigerian Army has been reportedly kill.he died shortly after he and other officers have been dismissed by the Nigerian Army for petitioning President Muhammad Buhari. Late Col. Ojebo went t bed healthy on Monday but didn’t wake up the next morning. In a statement by his brother, Mr Paul Ochankpa,he said: “My brother was dismissed from his duty without any tangible reason and that made him sought the personal person of Mr President but no attention was given to his petition for several months.” The deceased was in the United Kingdom since last year studying for a degree at Coventry university to while away time awaiting his petition to be redress.

The former Governor of Delta state Nigeria, Chief James Onanefe Ibori,who was released from a united kingdom prison in the late 2016,after serving his 13years jail term over the crime he committed known as money laundering, has said he will be com in coming home in couple of days. According to his spokesman,Tony Eluemonor,he said: “The British government had attempted to withdraw the case from court five, before Justice Garnham to either the Queen’s Bench Division or the Crown Court. “Ibori’s lawyers argued that this was a delay tactic by the Crown and the judge refused to grant the transfer, insisting that the case will remain in his Royal court of justice. “This time, the case before the court on Tuesday was to determine the amount of money Britain will pay Ibori as compensation for the illegal detention he was subjected to when the British prisons did not allow him to leave on the exact day his prison sentence ended in December last year, but detained him unlawfully and illegally by a day, while even seeking for ways to further deny him his freedom by locking him up illegally.”
